Plumbing and wardrobes

Today we were able to see the house in the early morning light. Our builder met us on site at 8.00am for a quick walk through with Ben's brother and sister who are here visiting for Ben's 30th this weekend. They haven't seen the place since April when it was just at site cut stage, a lot different now!

Despite the cold (-4*C), we opened up the al fresco stacker doors which have now been put in their tracks - to show off our indoor-meets-outdoor living area.

The plumbing has all been installed  in the bathrooms and kitchen and is connected, with running water and working toilets.

One of our extra packages included a rainwater shower head. We had it installed extra high in the en suite to accommodate Ben's 200 centimetres.

In the main bathroom we opted for an adjustable height, removable shower head instead - more user friendly for the tiny humans that will one day be utilising that bathroom.

We had to ask for the mirror in the en suite to be moved up to accommodate our height as well. It will probably still be a little too low for Ben, despite having been raised as high as it can go (since the window is above it) but his morning routine is a slightly less in depth than mine, so he doesn't mind. We're now just waiting on the installation of the towel rails and lighting, after which the bathrooms will be complete!

Another new development is the completion of the wardrobes. The three bedrooms, linen cupboard and our walk-in-wardrobe.
